Metal dome

(tactile metal domes, or metal snap domes) are round,trangle, four legs, oblong?shaped switch contacts that were designed for mounting on membrane circuitry. They are designed to be pushed past the flat plane by .005-.010' for optimal tactile feedback. The C-Series domes will not invert when pushed past the flat plane. Applications requiring a low profile switch under a membrane overlay are a perfect fit with our C-Series metal domes. It can be used anywhere a momentary switch with tactile feedback is required, while still achieving impressive actuation life cycles.

The R-Series metal domes (round metal dome switches) are placed on a membrane switch by means of pressure sensitive adhesive tape. In their relaxed state they rest on the outer rim of the primary pathway. When they are pushed, the centers of the domes collapse past the flat plane and make contact with the secondary pathway, thereby closing the circuit.

F-Series metal domes (Four-leg metal domes)are four-legged switch contacts that were designed specifically for mounting on single or double sided printed circuit boards, flex circuits and membranes, where traces can be fed under the domes on the same side of the board. They come in eight different sizes, and can be used for contact or tactile element only.

T-Series metal domes (tactile metal domes) are triangle shaped switch contacts that were designed for mounting on double sided printed circuit boards, flex circuits and membranes, where a via is run through the circuit board. Applications requiring a minimal diameter switch with an extended contact life, such as small, hand-held devices, are a perfect fit with our T-Series domes.

O-Series metal domes (stainless steel domes, or tactile metal domes) are small, oblong shaped switch contacts that were designed for mounting on single or double sided printed circuit boards, flexible circuits and membranes, where traces can be fed under the domes on the same side of the board. Applications requiring a low profile switch on an overly populated circuit board are a perfect fit with our O-Series metal domes. The O-Series metal domes come in three different sizes, and can be used anywhere a momentary switch with tactile feedback is required, while still achieving impressive actuation life cycles.
